truebluemeandyou: For my daytime followers because this is awesome and so easy. Instead of spikes, you could use something else, like little studs, or smaller spikes.

DIY Spiked Hair Comb. From Honestly…WTF here. This is as easy as it gets. Brass Cone Spikes and a hair comb. Go to the site for more details. This is attention getting (understated a bit much?) and if you want to stand out and be on the cutting edge of fashion for several dollars, I’d say this is pretty perfect for you. Book Lamp!

neversaygood-bye:

So, lately I’ve been getting back into crafting things. The latest and greatest thing that I’ve made is this lamp made of books! I didn’t have the $55 to shell out for this lamp, so I decided that I would make my own.

I love love love it!  If you want to read more of the process, keep reading.

Innovative DIY Jewelry Hangers

I don’t exactly know why but I’ve had some awesome luck/ ideas on ways to hang all my jewelry. The first one is just a wooden leaf my mom and I stumbled across on clearance at Target. We got a couple of bronze hooks and put them in ourselves. The only thing tricky about that one was I wanted to hang it diagonally so we had to make sure that the hooks were in the right places and none of the necklaces would be to close together.

The second one was a bit easier. I found the iron tree at Hobby Lobby 50% off so it was only about $10!! I just needed to bend all the leaves a little bit with some plyers so that they weren’t too close to the wall.

It’s all about finding a piece of wall decor you like and finding a way to make a one-of-a-kind beautiful jewlrey hanger :)

Make lovely bangles from old tea cups!  $49 will get you ONE.  If you, or someone you know, is handy with a wet-saw, you can make this yourself (yea, maybe that’s a big “if”).
Alternatively, if you have a glass cutter, you can score around a glass tea cup a few times to make it snap.
Please be safe if trying this!!!  lol, it had to be said.

Do you know what time it is??  It’s Tutorial Tuesday again!
This week I’m showing you how to make a cute and simple butterfly.  I love this origami form!  It’s a great way to use those rectangular scraps that I always seem to have laying around.
Happy Folding!!
